Richard Aoko Oketch is an experienced educationist with vast local and international teaching and training experience spanning over two decades. He works with children, youth and teachers in programs that enhance their health, literacy, life & people skills. Richard Oketch first professional post was to work as a high school teacher of English language and literature. He ventured briefly into Education Management. Afterwards he went overseas where he taught English and theatre to school kids, college students and adults in South Korea for 5 years. There he earned a M.A Degree in Applied Linguistics majoring in Second Language Acquisition. He is also a trained National Language Examiner, Teacher Trainer and Facilitator, Drama teacher, Writer and Poet. While in S. Korea he got to teach language using interactive technology. He is also a social analyst who contributes to the media regularly on topical issues. Richard Oketch continues to progress his passion for training teachers in new innovative technology based methods of teaching and learning and also working with children and the youth in academic, health, recreational and life skills programs that are intended to provide new modern and exciting avenues for them to explore their talents, build and expand their potentials; which is his enthusiasm for getting the job well done.
