About

''Blazoning forth the elegance in English''

I joyously reminisce my extra-curricular editorial and proofreading roles in the course of my education. In high school, the substantive editor having shied away from his detail, I became the de facto editor of Kawa, a magazine published by my Club Africana of which I was Vice-President. I was then mentored by my literature-in-English teacher, Mr U C Uka. My working team and I recorded impressive results for our dedication to duty. The magazine proved popular with readers, and the quality of our output received praises from far and near. With this I savored an enduring lesson on the importance of devotion to one’s assumed task, where the question is productivity.
At the University of Maiduguri, which I later attended, I was nominated to lead one of severa teams of students charged with carrying out research on the most burning or recondite legal principles, the findings of which were made available to study groups and tutorial classes. When the performances of the various sets were assessed, mine came out tops. In appreciation of my work, the Executive Committee of the Law Students Association [LAWSA] co-opted me in their ranks as Researcher cum Reporter of the student body.Since out of school, I have applied these skills, polishing up documents for clients. And over time, my cherished values of sincerity, excellence and dedication to duty have earned me their confidence. Beaming with smiles, Mr Rufus Clinton of Elite Media Empire Magazine recently thanked me for the soaring circulation of his publication. A very busy litigation lawyer, Mr. U A Equere voluntarily increased my honorarium for making his court processes the epitome of clarity and precision. He acknowledged that my document screening have been saving him of slips that could not have augured well for his clients' cases. The litany of thumbs up goes on and on.
