Mechanical engineer - 3D modeling, CAD, mechanical and product design
I am a mechanical engineer with experience in product development, particularly research and development. Can contribute with comprehension, knowledge, detailed-oriented and proactive approach on engineering design process.
Skilled in using 3D CAD software (modeling, animation, rendering), product design, mechanical design and prototyping. I have a good understanding of mechanical engineering, experience in production processes like sheet metal forming and plastic injection molding and basic knowledge in electronics.
For designing mechanical components I mostly use SolidWorks and KeyShot for rendering but I have experience in other CAD software, such as AutoCAD and Inventor.
I have very good communication skills, and I am able to work effectively under pressure and with tight deadlines.
During my career I have worked on many different innovative and creative projects. Most of the products I designed were consumer electronics, so ergonomics and aesthetics were a priority. I have passion for problem solving and design.
My duties and responsibilities included the following:
• Covering the entire product development process – from research and planning, concept development, over rapid prototyping (3D printing, laser cutting and CNC machining) to fabrication and production;
• Developing technical solutions and products such as terminals, ticket scanners, etc;
• Designing sheet metal enclosures for electronic devices;
• Developing and assembling prototypes of autonomous drone system solutions, telepresence robots, mechanisms for remote-controlled vehicles, haptic devices, etc.;
• Plastic injection molding design for simple electronic devices;
• Generating technical drawings BOM, job details and assembly docs for machining of various components using SolidWorks CAD package;
• Assembling, components installation and device testing;
• Writing technical reports and presentations.
Work Terms
Working Hours: I am in the Central European Time Zone (GMT +1) and available to work 40 hours per week max.
Working Terms and Conditions: I am flexible about payments; We can arrange milestones and process payments after each milestone, or after the whole work is delivered.
