About

Freelance writer / Website magnet / Editor / Author / Multiple award-winning journalist / Proofreader / Blog writer / Copywriter / Content writer / Headline specialist / layout adviser

As a career journalist, I didn't just appreciate the power of the word but also learned to respect it.
Writing has molded my template, making me who I am today.
For someone who learned his trade on a rickety typewriter before the turn of the century, I made countless transitions not just technologically but also in the evolution of writing.
After more than three decades, I wanted a change from journalism. Redundancy during the 2020 pandemic lockdown worked as a catalyst. Besides, mainstream media has evolved so much that I'm struggling to identify with its values.
I also recognize that without countless people opening their hearts to share their stories, scribes cannot prosper in their trade. No matter what your business, stories always gravitate towards people. That's the lowest common denominator in building any brand.
Consequently, curiosity is driving me towards discovering the genres of writing. I have just published my maiden book. In between, I've contributed remotely from home as a freelancer to magazines, blogs to B2B businesses, and making voluntary contributions to small businesses/individuals needing help.
Of the numerous awards I've won in journalism, nothing feeds the soul more than readership feedback. That's why authentic writers engage.
No doubt, the freedom to fit work around my life is liberating.

Work Terms

Freelancing offers freedom to work humane hours. I'm open to working most days within reason, especially if your demands are pressing.
Discussing payment is the most uncomfortable ritual for me since I've embarked on a freelance journey. I prefer prospective employers to initiate contracts/hours with plausible figures for deliberation. You'll find I'm reasonable and affordable.
I prefer emails but am open to phone calls, digital platforms if anyone wishes to conduct interviews/ job details at mutually agreeable times.
