My name is Barni Sparkes, I have recently graduated from Canterbury Christ Church University where I studied Creative Music Technology receiving a overall final grade of a first. Since finishing I have been working as both a freelance sound designer and field recordist, as well as a sound engineer and audio editor for a number of clients.
Over the last 6 years I have gained experience in using software such as Pro Tools, Logic, Ableton and Sony's Sound Forge, which I use for audio editing and sound manipulation. On top of these I am competent at using Max MSP which I have used for surround sound creative installations at art galleries and festivals.
My passions lie with creating sound design compositions to picture, games and animations, where I can capture and immerse the audience within the story of the media. With my personal supply of recording equipment I also enjoy field recording, and then using these sounds in my own productions.
Work Terms
I work from my professional home studio so work times are very flexible, this allows me to have a fast turn around in projects. I have all the equipment I may need here for any of the services I can provide.
