Communications consultant with a passion for the hospitality industry
I started my career working in PR in 2006 in China, and I worked in the industry for over ten years at both established and start-up agencies, across a wide range of sectors from industry to consumer, and from property to hospitality. I took a break from work in 2017 and moved to study European history and politics in Belgium, as well as in Poland.
During COVID I started to develop my freelance career, first advising Siemens Serbia on their communications with Chinese companies investing in Serbia and the Balkan region. Then I worked with Serviceplan Middle East on a project for an industry client. Later on I also developed a market research report for a Dutch B2B company interested in expanding their sales in China.
Over the last 18 months, I have been doing volunteering work alongside with my freelance work. Through my volunteering work I have travelled to Albania, Georgia, Mexico and Indonesia. I am passionate about traveling to new places and learning about the local cultures. As a hobby I have also learned to play the airline/hotel loyalty programme game and designed itineraries for my friends.
Work Terms
I am currently based in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico for three months, from December 2023 to March 2024, so that determines my timezone. My normal working hours are from 8am to 6pm my local time, but I am happy to schedule calls outside of these hours with mutual agreement. I am on WhatsApp, Signal and Telegram for messaging, and on Zoom and Skype for conference calls. I usually schedule a consultation call to understand the client's expectations and constrains, then I revert with a plan for them to review and sign off.
