I am an avid reader and a passionate learner. I am a senior at Western Washington University pursuing a degree in English with an emphasis in creative writing. After graduation, I plan to work in the publishing industry in any way I can, but I will eventually become an editor because it is my dream to be a part of the creative process. I want to be that stepping stone between author and reader, and be able to make a book into the best piece of art that it can be. The art of storytelling is one of the most important parts of life, and my passion is to be involved, every step of the way.

I have been published on four separate occasions in literary magazines and poetry anthologies, and I have been mentored by Kathryn Trueblood, recipient of the Goldenberg Prize for Fiction and the 2011 Red Hen Press Short Story Award.
