I am a freelance Product Design Engineer, who has worked in a wide range of industries over the course of the last 24 years, which I believe my knowledge and expertise reflects.
I have relocated to Turkey in July 2021, to be closer to my wife's family - we are currently based in Giresun on the Black Sea coast, though we intend to live in the countryside, long-term.
I am originally from Ireland and have spent the past 10 years living and working in England.
I am interested in all things mechanical and I like getting my teeth into new and challenging projects, whether these be small bespoke items, or larger items intended for mass production. I particularly enjoy seeing a product go from concept sketch to reality and I prefer to have a hands-on approach where possible, so that I am intimately involved in the process.
Due to my current location, I am particularly interested in remote working opportunities.
Work Terms
I am pretty flexible when it comes to hours of work and I am willing to work on weekends. Bear in mind though, that my current timezone is GMT+3 Hours (GMT+2 hours in the summer).
Regarding payment, I am willing to use whatever means, works best for all parties. Although I am currently living in Turkey, I have a UK Bank Account, so I would prefer to be paid in GBP or USD where possible.
I prefer to communicate via email - to have a record of communications to refer back to, though I also find it helpful to use WhatsApp, Messenger, Microsoft Teams or similar applications, as it's often easier to get across information in an audio-visual format.
