Globalizing Information Through Translations, Captions and Subtitles.
I am an Electronic Engineer and native Spanish speaker with fluent proficieny in written and spoken English. I have more than 4 years of continuous experience in transcription of English and Spanish audio and video, and translation from English to Spanish and Spanish to English involving technical documents in the engineering field (manuals and application notes), general translation of interviews, guitar lessons, psychology, and science and technology talks as part of the Amara on Demand Team in Amara.org, the TED.com Translation Team, and the Justinguitar Translation Team for Justinguitar.com.
Much of my experience has combined transcription and translation with captioning and subtitling, achieving high proficiency working with subtitle rules and guidelines for a better experience (i.e. characters per subtitle, character/second rate, etc.) and with the award-winning Amara subtitling platform. Nonetheless, I have adequate adeptness in subtitling using video editors like Filmora and creating .srt files in Softwares like Subtitle Workshop and Aegisub.
Having very strong self-teaching and adaptation skills, I can guarantee the best results in translations of contents related to fields I have not worked with yet, such as marketing, health care, journalism, etc.
