I take pride in my perseverance, dependability and determination, as well as my willingness to learn. Along with always seeking to get better in everything I do, I also acquire great team-work and leadership skills. Many of these skills were gained through playing competitive softball my whole life, including through college at Virginia Wesleyan College where I was a captain of the softball team my senior year and managed to obtain good academic standing throughout my four years. These skills of team work, competition (having a “winning” attitude not only for myself but for my team), leadership, and work ethic are assets that mirror into my professional life as well. I have easily carried these traits to my job positions throughout my life, including my current position as a post-award Grant and Contract Administrator (GCA) working in the Sponsored Programs Department of the Old Dominion University Research Foundation (ODURF).

I graduated in 2013 with a BA in business and currently have about 3 years of professional experience, of which the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.), other systems, and data entry in general have been widely used. Additionally, customer service has been an essential part of my career.
