Translations: French-English-Spanish. Besides the translations I can also do editing, revisions, rewriting, create original articles and transcriptions in English and Spanish.

I was born in Guatemala, my father was French and my mother Mexican; however, I lived most of my life in the United States where I acquired my higher education degrees and professional experience. Currently, I live in France, my father’s homeland, and the three languages I speak follow me wherever I go: French, English and Spanish. I am also very familiar with the cultural aspects of the places where these languages are spoken: Latin America, the United States and Europe, their expressions and local idioms. I love to read and be up-to—date with information regarding current events and geopolitical issues. History, science, economics, social and ecological concerns are among my favorite subjects. We are experiencing in this 21st century how technology is constantly providing us with improved applications of artificial intelligence that can translate almost everything we can think of into any given language. Nevertheless, I believe that we still need “real human minds” performing these translations, otherwise the main purpose of the contents of any written material can lose its impact or the main message and meaning can be incorrectly transformed. When I perform a translation, I read the whole paragraph first, I analyze and absorb the idea and then I proceed to rewrite it in the language required, making sure that the new translated version keeps, as much as possible, the fundamental substance of the original text.

Work Terms

Rates are negotiable depending on the complexity of the topic, the deadline and the size of the project. The rates for short translations are usually based on the number of words that the original document contains. A fixed price can be negotiated for other projects. I only accept payments via Paypal.
