Bringing Your Ideas to Full Bloom ~ Through The Language of Code
Hello there, my name is Cody - and I'm a coder. Almost feels like I was destined for this with a name like that. Being called Codeman and Codemeister years before I knew this was the path I'd end up wanting to follow. Though I have always had a special interest in codes and solving complex problems, I wasn't the techie kid growing up. I was the creative one, writing stories and escaping to worlds of fiction. I had a penchant for language, but not necessarily for tech.
That all changed when I got older and started playing around with computers. It all began out of necessity, working in less than optimal conditions with used and run-down hardware - and trying to keep it working for as long as I could manage. By hook or by crook - as they say - I would find ways to solve most any computing problem by tinkering, fueled by sheer refusal to give up. And, obsession, probably. That didn't translate to working with code until I started to dabble with Scratch and Human Resource Machine. These tools might not teach you any coding language in particular, but they get you started thinking like a programmer - understanding how to communicate with computers and make them do what you want them to do.
In May of 2021, I enrolled in an accelerated Bachelor's level Web Development and Design program at Full Sail University. I graduated in December of 2023 with a final GPA of 3.45. I learned to work with several coding languages, tools, and project workflows over the course of my education. My most proficient knowledge/skill is with the following:
