About

Quality Quickly

I’m a veteran proposal writer and manager with more than 10 years of experience developing revenue-raising strategies; researching prospective grantors; and drafting and submitting successful proposals to corporations, foundations, and government agencies.  I have been the grant writer for a small Boston, MA liberal arts college where I partnered with faculty to help build a grant program from the ground up; the Senior Writer/Project Manager for a major Boston research university from 2011 to 2015, where I drafted $11.6 million in successful proposals for grants in support of their programs; and the Senior Writer for Proposal Development for the Massachusetts chapter of a national human services and humanitarian relief agency from 2006 to 2011, where I researched, strategized, and wrote nearly $3.4 million in winning proposals.  I was hired at the chapter as a consultant, made permanent, and promoted to Senior Writer based on strong performance.

My responsibilities for my employers have spanned the entire funding cycle: identifying and researching prospective grantors, envisioning plans for pursuing funders, cultivating prospects and donors, organizing and guiding teams to pursue grantors, drafting and submitting proposals, and drafting and collecting data for stewardship reports.  I pride myself on writing in an organized narrative form, ensuring technical content is made comprehensible to lay audiences, and being a tireless proofreader. I hold a Master of Laws, a Juris Doctor, and dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in English and Political Science. While in law school, I served as Associate Editor of the school’s law review. I am Foundation Certified by the Association of Proposal Management Professionals. All of my experience and skills are available to help you and your organization grow.
