A young graphic designer with a minimalistic approach and an eye for design.
I am 19 years old and am currently enrolled at the DMACC Ankeny campus part time and work part time as well. I work for the Perry Lutheran Home as a Dietary Cook.
I also work a few hours a week at Showtime Dance Studio in Perry, Iowa. I danced here for 14 years and participated in tumbling, ballet, jazz, tap, musical theatre/character, and hip hop. I currently teach hip hop dance to 4 different classes that range from 7-18 year olds and teach one solo dance and one duet that i completely edited, choreographed, and taught all by myself. Of course I couldn't do it all by myself, thats where my assistant Cori comes in. Together we have choreographed a total of 14 dances in the past 2 years. I have been with Showtime Dance Studio for a total of 16 years at the end of May 2017. Dancing is something i have been very passionate about for a long time and hip hop just happens to be my favorite style.
Future Plans:
I plan to complete school within the next 2 years and hopefully find a full time job close to home. In the mean time I would like to do some freelance work. I want to volunteer as often as I can at The Perry lutheran Home, after I find a graphic design job, because of how much I love and enjoy working with the residents. I would like to keep teaching hip hop as well because that is something i enjoy doing very much.
In High school I was enrolled in Design I and II where we learned the basics of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop as well as how to build a website using wix.com. This is what sparked my interest in graphic design. I have taken a variety of design classes at the DMACC Ankeny campus. These include:
