I write custom analytical and computational tools for scientific data analysis
I'm a research scientist with over 12 years of programming experience, specializing in data analysis, especially of large scientific data sets, with computationally efficient tools. Most of my programs utilize high performance tools such as static compiling (cython), parallelism, and out-of-core processing architectures. I'm an efficient problem solving programmer. I'm comfortable in Linux, Mac, or Windows. I write mainly in the python numerical ecosystem (numpy, scipy, matplotlib, sckit, dask, cython, pandas, etc), but also have extensive experience with matlab, and familiarity with c, c++, and fortran. I also more than dabble in instrument control, image analysis, AWS, LaTeX, technical and science writing, catrography, and GUI development.
