Work Terms

Rates range roughly from $75 to $125 per hour, depending mainly on length.

I will not charge you for time I spend learning a popular language, OS, package, technique, etc., that I can likely use on further contracts for other clients. However, we must agree first whether this condition applies.

Equipment (hardware or software) that I will likely use on enough future contracts to be worthwhile, I will buy. Any other equipment, you will either supply or pay for, including shipping if applicable.

I will fix for free any bugs in my software. However, I reserve the right to dispute whether it is a bug, as opposed to a different reasonable interpretation of a specification, including something left unspecified.

I work from my office. If I have to travel by your demand, travel time counts, and you pay all travel expenses.

Work after 6 PM or before 8 AM, or beyond 40 hours a week (weeks start on Monday), or on a weekend, or on a US Federal holiday, costs 100% extra per condition, if by your demand. (I may do these on my own. You will not be charged extra for that.)

First-time clients, for jobs over $500, must pay via escrow.

Clients paying by means that incur any fees, must pay those fees.
