To me translation is as much an excuse to learn new things as it is an exercise in language.
I graduated from the University of Canterbury in Christchurch, New Zealand with a BMus in performance, and a BA in Japanese. I also spent a year at Osaka Kyoiku University on the Japanese government MEXT scholarship programme. I accumulated 4 years experience performing in professional ensembles during my studies, but don't play regularly any more.
I'm currently working as an English teacher in Tochigi, Japan while continuing to broaden my knowledge of the language. I have JLPT N1 proficiency, and have previous experience with fan-translations of erotic comics.
I'm vegetarian, although prefer to eat vean, and spend my free time cooking, reading, and playing viola.
Work Terms
I work afternoons and evenings (GMT +9) as a teacher Tuesday to Saturday.
