I've worked as a mechanical engineer for the last 20 years, primarily in the custom decorative lighting field. I've been an AutoCAD user for a bit over that same time frame. I have more recently discover the power of Autolisp, the native programming lenguage of AutoCAD. This simple tool allowed me to become significantly more efficient with an already powerful piece of software. The capabilities are truly endless and I have become intrigued by the various ways in which it operates. For the past 2 years I've set out to learn Autolisp to create time saving AutoCAD custom commands. I've thoroughly enjoyed leveraging its many functions. I get a particular fulfillment from writting a program and watching it perform the task it was designed for.
