I am a highly experienced copy-editor and proofreader, working with clients all over the world; many of whom have English as a second language. Whether I am tasked with editing an article, a blog, web content or a novel, I always strive to provide a fast and efficient service, and a high standard of work. When working on a project the client has as much input as they wish, and they always have the final say on any edits I make; ultimately it is the client's work, I am simply there to ensure the written content reads well and is of a publishable standard. Another skill I have is substantive editing, which is required when the work needs restructuring and in some cases rewriting. This is often the case when a writer is not a native English speaker and they want their written content to be read and understood by and native English speaking audience.

Work Terms

My editing fees depend on what is required (substantive-editing/copy-editing) as well as word count. I price fairly, on a per-job basis. Jobs under 5000 words and requiring only light editing or proofreading can usually be returned the same day depending on my work load; the client will be informed of a time scale, unless the client has a set deadline, in which case they will be informed on whether or not I can make it. If you are unsure of what is required in terms of editing, I am happy to look at a sample of the work and advise you. The prices stated are those for proofreading, which is a set rate.
