I strive to combine my passions for English language and web development in as many fun and profitable ways as possible.
I've always loved language. One of my earliest memories is me, at age three, laughing hysterically when my Mom said the word "gully"—I just thought it sounded funny. More than three decades on, my passion for English is undiminished.
My second great love is for the rigor and logic of programming, which has been a hobby of mine since my childhood in the early 1980s, and which I've turned into a very successful freelance career over the past fifteen years. But my passion for writing has never left me, and moving forward I would love to do more of it. Adopting technical writing as a secondary career was a natural way to combine the logic and structured thinking of coding with my natural flair for language.
Work Terms
I work regular South African business hours (9am to 6pm) in GMT+2, which has decent business hour overlap with most other countries. I prefer to communicate through the project chat on the website so that all communication is logged for everyone's protection.
