What I live for is making the world a more visually interesting and beautiful place one illustration at a time.
During college I learned that I am experimental with my art, and that I love trying and learning new things. This did not come without its challenges. There is often pressure as an artist to define a style that is distinctly your own. While there is nothing wrong with making art in that way, I found I could not fit into any particular box when it came to creating art. With time I have learned to embrace my experimental nature, and the limitless possibilities that come with it.
I enjoy jumping from one project to the next, and I prefer to stay busy. I work very well under pressure, more so than I would like. There are many benefits to staying busy, such as having a clean house and finished work at the same time, which is ultimately a pretty good situation to be in.
I have several passions outside of art as well, and I think they often influence my art in fantastic ways. These include animals and nature, reading and writing, psychology, music, gaming, and technology.
I am in the exciting process of transitioning from student/part-time illustrator/artist to full-time illustrator/artist. The prospect of getting paid for making work rather than paying to make it has me hitting the ground running.
What I am most looking forward to is how my passion and work will positively impact the lives of those who come into contact with it.
