About

I am an experienced writer, editor, proofreader, fact checker and social media manager, and I am passionate about all facets of the editorial process.

I am a passionate writer in all forms, from fiction to journalism to blog posts. I've supplemented that passion with an editorial skill set that involves 3+ years of reporting, editing and fact checking.

I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English (journalism supporting coursework) from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. From there, I accepted a research assistant position with Chicago Magazine, where I authored articles for both the online and print publications and aided senior editors in nearly every published article from October 2013 to March 2014. That led to a reporting position with the Associated Press in the summer of 2014, as well as several freelance fact checking and proofreading jobs for New York Times best-selling authors Jonathan Eig and Jeff Pearlman.

I continued to develop my editorial talents as a writer at STATS, a digital editor with the Sun Times News Network and, now, as a freelance reporter for Chicago Magazine.

Work Terms

I have an open, flexible schedule, and can make arrangements to fit the parameters of nearly any project. My rates vary according to the work, but customarily I charge $20 per hour. Of course, this rate is negotiable.
