Making good stuff happen!

Having recently left Spicerack Media Ltd, somewhere I thoroughly enjoyed working, I now work on a freelance basis (I also continue to work for Spicerack on a freelance basis). During my position as Head of Technology, I worked with national and global brands including Estée Lauder, Coty (fragrance/cosmetic brands including Philosophy and Calvin Klein), Science in Sport (SiS), B&Q, Debenhams, Discover Digital (now Circus Street) to mention just a few, creating a wide range of online media from HTML email to Facebook apps to websites. I frequently work with US teams and the time difference has not proved a problem as I am available to answer requests during the evenings.

Having originally left college with a First in Applied computing BSc (hons) with an official letter of commendation, I now aim to further explore newer areas of system development, such as native iOS applications, as well as continuing to explore new avenues on the traditional web. Other areas of future interest may lie in the development of audio units/vst.

Tight timescales have always been order of the day and I am always prepared to put in the required effort to meet them.

The market seems saturated with those building rapid modular implementations, but if it's meeting with exacting requirements, and not just a loose fit, that's my bag. However, I also enjoy exploring alternative options - scaling requirements to fit budget or time constraints and applying lean methodology when exacting requirements aren't going to fit.

Work Terms

I ususally work from 7am until done for the day. Payment terms 30 days Net. My preferred method of communication is email as it allows careful consideration before making a decision. I also find Skype a useful tool for iterating through project requirements, and my Skype is generally on throughout the working day. I am also available by phone.
