Katherine Spencer Carey is an American artist who has been photographing for over twenty years. Katherine has exhibited and lectured about her work in the USA and Europe, and has self-published three books of her photography and poetry.
In addition to pursuing her artwork and commercial photography, Katherine has worked professionally as an arts administrator in the fields of public relations and exhibition management. As a Public Relations Director she developed and executed the marketing strategy for a non-profit community art center in New Haven, CT. Responsibilities included writing press releases and managing press inquiries, compiling and editing five course brochures per year, photography for events and publicity, developing social media content across a variety of platforms, and managing all gallery programming (nine exhibitions per year in three gallery spaces).
