I have been learning languages for over 13 years, and have the CEFR level C2 in French and German, and the CEFR level C1 in Portuguese.
I studied languages at university and achieved a First Class Honors Degree in BA Modern Languages (French, German and Portuguese). During my degree I also spent time abroad and studied at the Universidade de Coimbra in Portugal and the Albert-Ludwigs Universität Freiburg in Germany, which helped me achieve a near native spoken and written level in both of these languages.
During my time at school I completed work experience in a bilingual plastics engineering company in Malterdingen, Germany, which has helped me develop my techincal and engineering-based vocabulary.
I have been working as a translation project manager for the past year and know the translation process inside out. I have experience using CAT tools, termbases, gloassaries and translation resources and know what the client is looking for in a translation. I also performed QA checks on translations before delivery to ensure that they were accurate and contained no mistakes. I have a great attention to detail and a passion for translating and strive to deliver texts of the highest standard.
Work Terms
I generally work Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm (GMT), but will take on overnight or weekend work when available.
