I have worked in a technical background for 11 years as a mechanical engineer, primarily in the area of computer aided design and in the production of technical documentation.
Prior to this, for 7 years I worked in an academic environment, firstly as a research assistant in the field of Additive Manufacturing (AM), where I published extensively in the applications of 3D Printing, and on the improvement of materials for use within this technology. I have also contributed to the writing of research proposals to funding bodies in this field. Subsequent to this, I then moved on to be a junior lecturer in engineering design, where I participated in the development of teaching materials for entry level, and intermediate-year students. This is where I developed my skill in translating abstract and hard-to-understand concepts into layman's terms in a way that is readable and informative.
Work Terms
