Editor, Writer, Community Manager, Event Coordinator
I have 10+ years of writing and editing experience, including five years spent managing communities across all social platforms and in person at gaming expos with 30,000+ attendees. I currently work as an Editor for CopyPress, where I’ve proofread and (in some cases, drastically) reworked over 250 articles of 1500+ words apiece covering a wide variety of topics.
Before this, over five years, I helped Enthusiast Gaming grow from a tiny start-up into a huge international media network. I had the opportunity to work with Nintendo, Sony and Ubisoft, but felt far more fulfilled by our projects with SickKids, Chai Lifeline and the Extra Life gaming marathon for Children’s Miracle Network.
Officially, I handled social media for the network and EGLX (Canada’s largest gaming expo), but in reality I wore so many hats that it cut off the circulation to my brain. A day’s work might include writing copy, juggling analytics and spreadsheets, overseeing ads, WordPress, video editing, or running a Discord community. I was also the sole Editor of EGLX’s annual print magazine.
