About

Experienced and Creative Multidisciplinary Engineer - Thermal, Power Electronics, Military, Aerospace and Industrial.

I am formally studied Materials Science/Mechanical Engineering at Harvard University, but moved quickly into controls and Thermal engineering founding a high Frequency Power Supply Company. I sold the company to Dynapower where I became first a Research Engineer specializing in inverter and modulator design and later the VP of Engineering.

I am proficient in conceptual design, Solidworks, FEA (thermal and mechanical) and CFD. I have developed successful power supply products, sensor products, Military Specification Power Systems and aircraft systems.

I am a creative and analytic engineer. I have conducted complex engineering studies in the fields of power electronics, electromagnetics, mechanics, heat transfer and control algorithms. I have published papers in the fields of controls, pulse modulators and heat transfer and presented at numerous industry conferences and to groups up to 5000 people on product development.

Between days in the lab or on the road, I enjoy flying, driving and designing all types of innovative vehicles. I am a motorcycle and airplane enthusiast and dream nightly of merging the two into the most intuitive interface for three dimensional motion possible. I currently sit on the board of technical schools and taught both Mechanical and Electrical engineering course at UVM.

I have managed several hundred million dollars of product development programs and no task is too small or large to consider.

Work Terms

I work all the time. I like challenging design problems that require technical analytic thinking and various tools.

I prefer communication via email, skype, google hangouts and in-person when necessary.
