About

I use my mild OCD tendencies to break down data and tur

Slightly OCD (CDO, for alphabetical accuracy); which sucks for me, but is great for you!

Working online has allowed me to gain experience in a wide array of skillsets, but once I came across data analysis and related tools like Tableau, I was finally hooked on something stable.

But as with all addictions, you can’t get enough – which has driven me towards coding languages. Fortunately, the people I’ve worked with and still work with have turned out to be the incredible kind of people who provide the learning tools needed, so that I could take advantage of learning these new skills inside of actual, practical work scenarios.

D3.js and the underlying coding languages have been the result of that; although I’m still expanding my knowledge in these areas.

Speaking of ‘languages’, I can read and write in a few foreign ones, too. So effectively, I can yell at my family in Greek; flirt in French, flirt passionately in Italian, imitate soap stars in Spanish and recommend the best cut of meat in Afrikaans. I continue to read articles in each language to expand my vocabulary, but I wouldn’t recommend entrusting any great business deals to me that requires using any of them ?? I have an average typing speed of 80 words per minute – but when typing in English, of course!

In a nutshell, though - I’ve long since given up my dream of becoming a singing, song-writing actress who doubles as a children’s ambassador in third-world countries, whilst digging for archaeological findings in her spare time, to simply become a freelancer who shrieks with joy whenever she opens up an Excel file that needs tidying. I like to make my parents proud.

Work Terms

I am happy to work 7 days a week, although I'd prefer not to have to work every weekend. I am typically available from 7AM my time (GMT+2) to 5PM, but from experience with international clients I know that's not always possible, so I have no problem working later if need be.

I prefer hourly jobs, especially when it comes to data analysis. I've had mixed experiences with fixed-price jobs, where I haven't been paid at all and for me, if I withhold work from a client until payment is made, I can't help but feel it leaves a bad taste in everyone's mouth. Life is just so much simpler with hourly contracts - you only earn what you've worked for and the client only pays for the same. The time-tracker being the insurance that clients aren't billed unnecessarily. For the same reasons mentioned above, I'm only willing to be paid via SafePay.
