Social researcher, academic, fiction, and nonfiction ghostwriter, SEO writer/editor, proofreader, English language editor

For the past three years, I’ve been working remotely for a variety of local and international organizations. I do academic, fiction, and nonfiction ghostwriting, proofreading, and editing, SEO writing/editing, content copywriting, and social research consulting—including assistance with study designs, research methodologies, data analysis, and academic/scientific writing.

I have considerable skills in research and a strong capacity to find and absorb large amounts of information. I am a fast reader and a quick study. I have a social science/humanities master's degree, with specialization in Development Studies/Economics and during my undergraduate studies, I completed many semester courses (with distinction) in anthropology/cultural studies, and philosophy—I have an out-of-control interest in practically everything and read as much as humanly possible!

Apart from my fields of academic specialization, my interests include popular science, archaeology, medicine, nutrition, natural medicine, spirituality, fashion, entertainment, lifestyle, history, anthropology/culture, linguistics, travel, cuisine, wine, music, genetics, neuroscience, and technology. I've written content on fashion, food, cultural cuisine, travel, health, nutrition, natural healing, mental health, economics, social trends, and research of all kinds.

Work Terms

I prefer to work on short and medium-term projects, as I also do work for a number of other organizations, although, if an offer is good enough, I will consider devoting all of my time to a particular client organization.

I prefer being paid by the hour (between US$18 and US$25, depending on the complexity/difficulty of the work), but also accept payment on project completion (40% upfront, 40% upon delivery, and 20% only if you found the writing exceptional). I may sound expensive, but my rates are justified by the sheer amount of time, energy, thought, creativity, and effort I put into my projects—I research extensively, write and rewrite until the work is perfect, and with an excellent command of English...I'm a perfectionist and simply cannot hand in work that is at a sub-standard level.

Additionally, I'm reliable and easily reachable, I always respond to requests and questions quickly, and I can promise fast turnaround times. I'm easy to work with, can handle criticism well, and love collaborating with others. I'm dedicated, creative, resourceful, and I have a rather inappropriate sense of humor. Many of my clients enjoy these characteristics of mine.
I work on a fully remote basis as an independent contractor. I sign a standard service agreement with every client for the completion of a specific piece of work and its timeframes/milestones.

I can write for a wide variety of audiences, from scientific/academic writing, writing for enthusiasts on certain topics, informative but informal writing for the layperson, marketing content for specific target groups, and humorous writing just for fun. I don't write for children.
