I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Intercultural Studies.
For the last eleven years I have been working in education, teaching literature and writing for children. I have always enjoyed creating with words and teaching students how to unlock the unique pleasure of expressing themselves creatively. Currently, I teach third grade at an "at risk" school, indoctrinating small children with my love of Harry Potter and hopefully inspiring an affection for reading to last a lifetime. My writing experience has been focused on fictional story writing and local travel blogging.
I thoroughly enjoy traveling. As a college student, I spent a semester abroad working and learning in Madrid, Spain. This incredible experience fueled my growing curiosity of new cultures and people and has only blossomed exponentially over the years, leading me to explore the world at any chance I get. Writing about these experiences has gifted my life a sense of meaning and pleasure I've yet to find in anything else.
