Born in 1983 in Colonia, Uruguay, Martín Cóccolo developed an early interest in art, specially in comics. After years of assisting artists and training, he decided to pursue a career of his own in the comic Industry. Starting on small, virtually unknown independent publishers, he managed to forge himself a path that would eventually lead him to work for APE Entertainment's "Helldorado", a work for which he was nominated for the prestigious Russ Manning Award for the most promising newcomer. He would then go on to work on IDW's Magic: The Gathering for many issues before being recluted by DC entertainment to work on Green Lantern and Sinestro alternatively. From then on, Martín Cóccolo's art has been extensively published on both titles.
