About

Creative thinker with a diverse background in cultivating ideas, building brands, and driving growth. Nearly 20 years of experience in brand strategy and marketing communications.

Michelle began her career in marketing and advertising at DDB Worldwide in Dallas where she spent 10 years working on clients such as Hershey's Milk, Land O Lakes Dairy Ease, International Delight, Schlage, Kryptonite locks and Ingersoll Rand Security Technologies. Michelle went on to work for Sq1, Integer, and Slingshot and it was during this time that she developed a passion for partnering with smaller clients and giving them the tools to succeed in an increasingly competitive environment.

Michelle has taken a somewhat non-traditional approach to her career. Whereas most people tend to focus on a few areas, she purposefully chose not to. Traditional and digital. Agency-side and client-side. Large brands, small brands - and a whole lot of industries in between. Michelle's journey has given her a lot of data points to use as inspiration and ultimately makes her a better thinker – a better problem solver.

In 2016, after much reflection, Michelle decided to leave "Corporate America" to focus on the things that give her joy: her family, her competitive aspirations, the horse farm she owns with her sister, and using everything she's learned in her professional life to help friends and family realize their entrepreneurial dreams.

She is fortunate to have a wonderful network of people who are supporting her on this journey. Clients have included a well-known CPG company, a start-up health and wellness center, a brand extension for a B2B company, several start-up CPG brands, and a tech-centric digital agency.

FUN FACTS ABOUT MICHELLE:
She has two MBAs, one from The University of Texas at Austin and the other from Ecole Superieure de Commerce in France.
She is the owner of two small businesses - her consulting practice and her training facility, Southern Cross Equestrian.
She actively competes in nationally recognized horse show competitions.
She completed the Half-Ironman in Kona, Hawaii.
