About

Enthusiastic proofreader dedicated to helping you perfect your work

After years of working in a day-job that was not going anywhere, I decided to change tack and think of what I can do now to allow me to do work on a day to day basis that I truly love. I love words, I love the way the right words can literally paint a picture in my mind, or grip my attention and teach me something new. I always had a knack with languages and always had no trouble paying attention in English class.

So, when the thought struck me to start proofreading it is was an easy decision. This is me, this part of who I am in my heart.

But I was also realistic and realised that I needed to get training to do this job. And I was right. Proofreading and editing far surpasses spotting a spelling mistake. And studying through the Publishing Training Center in London was the best way I could gain the skills I needed.

Now I am confident in my skills and can proofread and edit a document for spelling, grammar, syntax, punctuation, formatting, ambiguousness, flow, consistency, mechanical and technical errors.

Apart from reading something and eradicating errors, you will find me cooking a satisfying meal, sewing or playing Minecraft. I also enjoy time with family and friends and hope to one day take my artist-mom to Paris.

Work Terms

I work on projects during the day and have limited time to communicate. Getting in touch via email is better. I can commit to time-tables and number of hours on a project to project basis dependant on level of work required, work already on my plate, and expected submission dates.
