Hello everyone!
My name is Olga and I am a newcomer in the field of frontend development, so I will tell you my story of how I got into IT. I have a background in decorative applied arts, but I didn't want to pursue a career in that field, so I started looking for other opportunities, specifically in website design. During my job search, I became pregnant, and my career in design came to a halt. While taking care of my child, I realized that I no longer enjoyed design, so I started exploring other possibilities in this world. I wanted to find a job that allowed me to work remotely, with a good salary and career growth opportunities.
When my child turned one, the war in Ukraine began, and remote work became a survival opportunity, as it allowed us to move from Kyiv to a safer place while continuing to work. Additionally, I was able to help my family members who lost their jobs due to the conflict with Russia.
Choosing a profession became obvious thanks to my husband, who is a full-stack developer. He became my mentor and teacher. Under his guidance, I continue to learn. We are currently working on a joint project for his hobby. It is a website for selling smoked meat, consisting of a main website and an admin site. I am responsible for the visual part, including design and layout, while he handles the backend. Regarding the admin site implementation, we decided to incorporate the PrimeNG frontend library and rebuild the site according to new standards, completing almost 90% of the project. Working on such a colossal project made me fall even more in love with the development field.
Now, it's time for me to work and collaborate with other developers, grow, and thrive in real projects. Let me tell you more about myself. I am a team player, punctual, and responsible. You can rely on me. In terms of personality, I am an ambivert. I easily adapt to situations and can either be the center of attention or blend into the background. I am open and communicative, and if I have knowledge in a particular topic, I can engage in conversations on various subjects. I love learning new things and I am open to knowledge not only in the development field. I am interested in psychology and personal growth, and lately, I have been intrigued by the development of my personal blog, specifically UGC creator content.
As for my personal preferences, I adore traveling. Currently, my travels are limited to Ukraine due to the restrictions on international travel. However, I frequently travel between cities in my own car. I also have a passion for cycling, playing board games with friends, having barbecues with family, and swimming. I enjoy actively relaxing.
In the near future, I intend to grow and develop in my career. I dedicate a lot of time and effort to learning. I dream of starting work in your company as soon as possible, so that I can grow and develop together with you. I am eagerly awaiting an invitation to collaborate.
