Provide outstanding 3D CAD modeling services to customers with insufficient ongoing needs to justify in-house staffing

I am a degreed mechanical engineer, and my job history has taken me from project management to aircraft engine assembly tooling engineering, to small machine shop engineering/planning.

My most recent employment has been 8+ years for a hydraulic cylinder manufacturer both designing new cylinders, and working with the machine shop to update old cylinder designs to be manufactured on more modern CNC machines. My work with the machine shop has taught me how to design and draw to with manufacturing in mind which lends to drawings that are focused on ease of interpreting and machining. In that time I have been running Solid Edge on a daily basis, and would be willing to look into purchasing a license if the work can support it.

I am currently branching out to build a customer base using SolidWorks. I have my SolidWorks certification in Mechanical Design at the level of Associate, achieved in January of 2021.

Work Terms

Current working hours are evenings and weekends as this is currently my second job. Terms are negotiable, and preferred contact is through e-mail.
