I have been a software engineer working primarily in the engineering or scientific environments using ForTran, C, C++, PERL, SQL and web development using Apache Tomcat/cocoon.
I am looking to branch away from the normal working conditions to regain control of my destiny to be able to work remotely within my schedule.
I am a very disciplined worker and a Veteran of the US Navy. I received my BS in Computer Management in 1984 from West Virginia Institute of Technology and returned for a year to work on some Electrical Engineering classes.
I am passionate about our environment, education and the art of giving back.
My current desire would be to work on a small team doing prototype work on both software and hardware as I have found the raspberry pi and arduino really interesting tools to work with for fast development of sensor prototypes.
Work Terms
Working remotely on projects with specific tasks that can be worked on at whatever pace that is needed. Primarily working from home remotely but would be available to meet as needed using goToMeeting or other meting management sites or by phone. I do not program for mobile applications.
