My name is Saskia, and I’m a professional trilingual translator. Born in the Netherlands with a Colombian background, I am fluent in Dutch, English, and Spanish. I have attended university in both the Netherlands and the United States, and graduated cum laude with an extensive academic background in both linguistics and literature. Additionally, I hold a Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency; the highest level of English language qualification available.

As for my professional background, I’m equipped with one year of experience in freelance translation, and six months of experience in the proofreading and editing of both academic and commercial texts in Dutch and English. As a translator, I take care to ensure that the material is not only translated in a way that is grammatically correct, but that the finished product also accurately reflects the tone of voice and feeling of the original work.
