Sdea Ltd was established in April 2014 as an independent multi-disciplinary company to provide professional and technical expertise in sustainable development in support of development plans of countries in the Africa region.
The company comprises a core team of professional staff supported by a network of independent national and international companies and experts drawn from a variety of development fields. The Company has operational links with international organisations including the United Nations System, IGOs, regional economic commissions and mechanisms, private sector institutions and industries.

Core functions and services:
Sdea Ltd undertakes development projects initiated by governments, international donor agencies, the United Nations System or private sector operators. The core functions and services of the Company include:
• environmental assessments, planning and mitigation of impacts of large development projects (infrastructure, energy, oil and gas industry, housing, industrial & commercial developments, etc.);
• environment and natural resources management (including water, forestry, fisheries, wildlife, wetlands and land use management, climate change adaptation and mitigation, etc.);
• Sustainable tourism development;
• Integrated rural development projects;
• sustainable housing construction and operation (including design, budgeting, procurement, supervision and valuation of housing construction projects);
• urban planning and development (preparation of housing development schemes, design of urban master plans, survey of housing construction opportunities at municipal and local authorities level, commercial and residential property market survey and management, etc.);
• Institutional strengthening, capacity development and technology transfer (policy development, staff training and skills enhancement, South-South Cooperation);
