Hi there! I'm Shelby, an entertainment professional originating from San Francisco, CA. I grew up in Ohio and got my start in music by blogging and regular writing on MySpace back in 2007/2008. From there, I took my expertise to Arizona State University where I studied English and continued to intern and write. I've written for publications such as Substream Magazine, WorldLifestyle, NKD Mag, Stage Right Secrets, Alternative Press Magazine, idobi Radio and more.
I've written for some of the top companies in the United States including Live Nation and Vice's collaboration Live Nation TV where my stories were shared on platforms to millions of viewers. My writing skills span all types of online platforms and I've also dabbled a bit in editing. I am a dedicated writer with a knack for penning original content that keeps clients happy and consumers engaged in traditional long-form, blogging and social copy.
After my time in college, I bounced around between personal assistant, freelance writing and digital media gigs in the entertainment industry all the while developing my own non-profit company, Girls Behind The Rock Show. GBTRS is dedicated to helping young women start their music careers in healthy and safe environments, along with providing mentorships, sponsoring internships and educating the public on women's issues in the workplace.
