About

I'm a literature lover, and I don't discriminate based on genre!

Writing has been a passion of mine since high school, when I won third place in a campus short story contest. I pursued this passion by obtaining a bachelor's degree in English: Writing from the University of Nevada, Reno, where I was published in two different literary arts journals (one fiction and one non-fiction). Since graduating, I have had another fiction short story published. I have also completed a novel, which I am currently editing, and I have begun work on a second novel.

Editing became an outlet for my love of writing when I was hired as a tutor at my university's Writing Center. I was also a freelance editor for LazyDay Publishing (before they merged with Blushing Books) and greatly enjoyed editing the many different types of novels they sent my way.

I would love the opportunity to edit your short story or novel, or even collaborate on writing it. I focus both on low-order concerns (sentence structure, grammar, diction, etc.) and on high-order concerns (character development, plot arch, etc.).

I use Microsoft's Track Changes feature so that you can accept or decline my edits individually or as a whole. I also leave you comments within the document so you know my reasoning for certain changes. My goal is to help you become a better writer, and the only way any of us gets better is by learning from our mistakes!
