Worked in oil field industry for many years, fixing the unfixable. The only thing I can't fix yet is finding a picture for my profile.
I have PhD degree in System Engineering and I worked hard for it at Petroleum and Gas University - Romania.
I am able to assist with technical English and proper format of scientific researches, texts and papers;
I've spent the last 6 years on various oilfields all over the world, fixing the unfixable, usually devices that manufacturers say "impossible, it's beyond repair";
Servicing and administrating various computing systems running Unix and Unix-like operating systems, at hardware, networking and software levels:
- designing firewalls;
- MySQL database recovery;
- installing/configuring/building/writing new end-user applications;
- Transcription of words from audio/video materials, if sound processing can extract a clear-to-understand sound;
- OCR documents processing.
I'm good in electronics, embedded systems (design and manufacture), programming, PCB CAD design, computer hardware and I can adapt to new requirements (outside my "guru tags").
Work Terms
Available during weekends, holidays and partially at night time (zulu time zone + 2).
I am also available in emergency terms (full time 24/7) if the financial offer is tempting.
