  rtise the events, provide food, and set up for each session. Valery then planned and implemented a two-day, delegated conference sponsored by Eli Lilly & Company in downtown Indianapolis. In addition to working with Lilly staff, she negotiated hotel rates, planned meals, arranged for our tech needs, and planned a formal dinner for 200 delegates. She also secured the services of famed author and feminist Betty Freidan as keynote speaker. By the end of the delegated conference, we had a comprehensive agenda to present to the Indiana legislator, and I can honestly say it could not have happened without Valery’s commendable work ethic, organizational abilities and negotiating skills.
