My name is Vjekoslav Nemec. I am a chess Candidate Master from Zagreb, Croatia. My current Elo rating sits at 2182. I have been playing chess for last six years, and my love for the game continues to grow.

I really love chess and everything involving chess, whether it is playing, reading or following top level games. And someone somewhere has once remarked that you should always pursue things you love. Which seemed like a really convenient excuse to start playing a chess author. Instead of dealing with ugly terms like adulthood or responsibility.

Apart from chess, I enjoy playing table tennis, making bad puns (which should be apparent from the blog name), following stand up comedy (apart from Rowan Atkinson, Dave Allen is the favourite) and posing for facebook.
I am also a proud owner of an Electrical Engineering degree, and currently work in a private company.

Work Terms

I work from home, mostly in the afternoon hours and during the weekends, since I have a full-time job.
I tend to give myself 10 days deadline to finish the article, depending on the length of the article and time I have
