Since I started studying English Education at university, I have worked as a freelance translator, proofreader, and editor of English, French and Korean for 9 years. My expertise lies in education, Linguistics, literature, Finance, Marketing, Market Research, cryptocurrency, the blockchain, and business in general. I have cooperated with various clients and agencies; most of the agencies I am currently working with are from the USA and some others are in the UK and South Africa.
My main tasks include proofreading of educational materials and academic theses and journals both in English and Korean while I have done myriads of different projects such as producing subtitles for the foreign news and documentary programs, facilitating and optimizing machine translation, transcribing audio files and translating news articles. I enjoy proofreading and editing the most for I have an excellent command of Korean grammar above all and could make it useful.
From my experience of translation, proofreading and editing, I gained some of the key strengths that I prize. Of all, I have to mention time management skills and prioritization. As I have to grapple with many projects with different deadlines at the same time, it is essential to decide what has to be done when. For the same reason, I am resilient and accustomed to taking proactive roles.
Work Terms
I usually am paid per word, but it is negotiable; I can be paid per project.
