Writing can be creative, elegant and powerful. I am passionate about writing and that passion shines in my work.
I hold a B.A. in English Literature and an M.Ed. I have 10 years experience as a classroom teacher and have tutored students of all ages: adults, second language learners, and students preparing for college entrance and SAT tests.
I have edited and proofread theses at the collegiate and graduate level. I have provided editing and proofreading services for diverse projects including academic papers and essays, resumes, cover letters, statements of purpose and admission essays. While working at a shelter, I designed and co-wrote a newsletter which included news and writing of staff and residents. I designed and carried out an oral history project focused on homeless single mothers.
I have written poetry and short fiction for over 20 years and have published several pieces in various journals. As part of a small theater group, I collaboratively wrote many short pieces for stage and street theater.

On projects below $250.00, 50% is required as a deposit through Guru escrow, and final payment due upon completion of project.
I work very closely with clients, often with an initial conference, to insure that project details and expectations are clear to each of us Collaborative work is my strength, but I am able and willing to work as independently as needed.
I am accessible by email and phone and return all messages promptly. I am very flexible and easygoing, and am available from 4-10 pm Mountain time, though I am often available outside of that time frame as well. When the project is right for me, and I am the right freelancer for you, I am eager to go the extra mile so that we both succeed.
