Yale grad / former journalist at Newsweek / serial entrepreneur

I have 8 years writing and editing experience working for national publications as a writer and my school newspaper, The Yale Daily News, as an editor. I'm a former journalist at Newsweek Magazine who has also written for The New York Times, The Economist, Time Magazine, and The Washington Post, among others. For a year, I was a staff writer for Gadling.com, the #2 highest-traffic travel blog. My first book, Science Whiz (SuperCollege, 2007), is still being sold on Amazon while my second, an unpublished book on my time in Iran, was under contract with MacMillan.

I've also run several successful businesses, including a VC-backed social startup in New York (joingrouper.com), a Chinese online travel agency that was sold to China's largest private travel company (aijiatu.com), an award-winning burger restaurant that I created from scratch (3sums), and a techno events company (The Bunker).
