I have a degree in French and Russian from Queen Mary College, London University, a diploma in translation from the Chartered Institute of Linguists and also a professional diploma in marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing. In addition, I have just been admitted to the Chartered Institute of Linguists as a member. A British citizen based in the UK, I worked for 15 years in Russia and have been freelancing as a translator since 2008. Clients include accounting and advisory, law and HR firms, art galleries and agencies. I translate documents in most areas from Russian to English, from tax & legal, audit, corporate governance to HR and training. In terms of industries, I translate regularly texts on banking and finance, telecoms, mining, oil & gas and pharmaceuticals. I also have experience of literary translations, including texts by Bulgakov and fairy tales. I translate regularly certificates (birth, marriage, death, personal income tax, social security, on the absence of a criminal record, etc.) I can translate from 5,000 - 10,000 words a day.
