I am a University of South Carolina Aiken graduate with a Bachelor of Arts degree, cum laude, in communications. My primary focus is written and other non-verbal communications. To go with that, I've got five years professional writing and editing experience under my belt. I love developing all types of material in various styles and seeing how powerful and useful they can be. It's a challenge every time I get a new assignment to come up with new, interesting methods to relate stories, pass on valuable information, or get messages through to audiences in ways they'll never forget. In college, my professors had to get used to receiving three or four emails from me for every assignment submission. I would always send messages with my work like, "ignore the last one, this one is much better." Sometimes, if I only sent one or two, they would email me back and ask, "is this really it, or should I expect more?" They often said it was interesting to see how I changed things and had a better story or presented my information in a better way with each email they received. One professor called me "exacting" when referring to my editing skill. I'm always working to improve myself and my writing, so I try to find new ways of looking at topics and more effective means of doing what I love constantly. And I do not mind constructive criticism! My job's not done until you have just what you wanted. I am passionate about my work and enjoy creating pieces for my clients which are useful and more than what they thought they were looking for. I have been extensively trained by folks with decades of communications experience. Work Terms
I will work as much as necessary, Monday through Friday until the job is completed. If you have a tight deadline, I will gladly work weekends, too. I charge depending on the type of content, length of work-product needed, research required, the amount of time it will take to complete and the complexity of the material to be covered.
