I fell out of the high school English teaching circuit with enough spirit to learn the wine industry from the ground up and got my first dedicated wine job in 1991. I became a restaurant wine buyer in 1994 and have never looked back.
Since then, it has been a whirlwind of wineries, travel, sales and gracious hosts. All of it has brought me to the point at which I can help a broad spectrum of people become gracious hosts.
I use my writing and speaking skills to generate custom email programs, club correspondence, blog posts, articles, web copy and training manuals for employees.
Beyond those, I enjoy planning interesting events with my clients, events that make memories in the minds of their customers and keep them coming back.

Work Terms

I answer email within 12-24 hours no matter the day or the holiday. As a freelancer, I understand that responding and replying makes my service easier to build confidence.
I have a rate quote sheet that I use for basic writing services available upon request from eric@corkjockey.com. More involved programs and quotes may qualify for lower word rates. As a thank you to established clients, successive jobs are considered at a lower rate.
